Who Am I?

Aloha readers! I am Shreya. Let me introduce myself in a different way with this short video which I promise you won’t regret watching.

So, there are a few things about me that I would like you all to know. Well, I always wanted to write blogs, speak for myself and give reviews but I couldn't do it. Finally, today I'm doing what I always wanted to do for a long time. There are some things that I would like to add about me because I think the more you know about me, the more you will connect to the blog and me. I did my graduation (B. Com) in Pune. I was also doing Company Secretary (CS) side by side. But then I realized that I'm not happy with what I'm doing right now. So, I knew that I had to do something in which I was interested and something that will make me happy. I was confused and worried about my career, so I decides to take up career counseling which helped me to find what I loved. I chose FASHION DESIGNING. To be honest many people criticized me (just like a typical Indian family) because I wasn’t sure about my career where all the other people in my life(relatives and cousins, Sharma ji ka beta) had their life planned. But I did not loose hope if it had not been my parents and friends I would have been physically and mentally exhausted. Now you must be wondering why am I telling you all this? Because it's okay to feel lost and getting confused at times in life. Many people don’t have someone to listen to them but that's okay because what's more important in life is doing what makes us happy and not others. The pandemic aka Covid-19 has given us the time to look after ourselves and reflect what all we have been doing with our lives. Were we even happy? Basically it taught us self realization and also taught us to value our body, soul, mind and everything that has been around us including family, friends, and most important 'NATURE'. This was like an unexpected and important break for us as humans and for nature to stop, look around and take a deep breath. But every coin has two sides. Unfortunately some things happened which were not expected by us. People lost their job, families, friends and much more worse than we could ever imagine. So just be grateful for what you have because you might have some things which a person must be desperate of. And you know what, life goes on! Bad things happen, people move on and start over, waiting for miracles to happen. Anyway moving on from the sentimental speech. I would like to tell you what my blog will be about and the reason behind it. So welcome to SATVASTRAA, a blog full of mind boggling facts and information about fashion which will eventually result in landfill, sustainable brands and products, climate change

& much more. SATVASATRAA sounds like an unusual name, right? But it is comprised of two Sanskrit words- SATVA (consciousness, Eco friendly) and VASTRAA(fabric, clothes). In this blog, you will read a lot about basic clothing to its connection with mother earth which we were unaware of. This will help us make our world a better place to live for us and for the generations to come. So I promise to keep you updated with often content that will help you to choose wisely. So, get ready to be surprised and shocked. See you in the next blog. Until then stay safe and choose wisely. This is me Shreya signing off from SATVASTRAA. Sayonara.
